Today’s card uses the “Happy Birthday” stamp from the Celebrating You stamp set and a technique called “paper piecing”. I love the Celebrating You stamp set as I feel you can never have too many “word” stamps! I utilized strips of DSP from the “Rainbows” SAB offering. The bright colors in the DSP makes this card super festive! I cut the DSP strips in varying widths of 1/4″, 1/2″ and 3/4″ sizes. I attached several of the 3/4″ strips first, spaced out on a layer of white card stock. Next I attached the 1/2″ strips and then filled in the spaces with the 1/4″ strips of DSP. I then trimmed off the overhang from the edges, mounted on a layer of Misty Moonlight.
Some texture was added to this card with the “Stripes & Splatters” 3D Embossing Folders. A few layered “tags” from the “Tailor Made Tags” were added with the stamped Happy Birthday greeting also in Misty Moonlight. I colored in the “birthday” letters with a Mango Melody marker. The White Crinkled Seam Binding is tied off with the Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker’s Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack. The card is finished off with three of the Iridescent Rhinestones from the January – June 2022 Mini Catalog.
