Layering Leaves and coordinating Bough Punch!

One of my favorite new stamp sets is “Layering Leaves” and the coordinating “Bough Punch”. This set contains some nice images for the coordinating punch along with some fabulous greetings. The greetings are suitable for many occasions and the font is so pretty!

Layering Leaves & Bough Punch

I needed to whip up a quick card to send to a customer along with her NEW “September-December Mini Catalog”. Since I had recently been working with the “Joy of Christmas” DSP from the upcoming Mini Catalog, scraps were laying on my crafting desk. When I spied the “leaf” patterned DSP, I instantly had the thought of using the “Bough Punch”. I placed the DSP print on the center white panel and then elevated it with dimensionals. The greeting was stamped in Garden Green ink and then punched out with a retired “oval punch”. I layered the greeting oval onto a “Lasting Label” Punch in Garden Green.

The “leaf” image was stamped in Garden Green ink on Garden Green card stock, then punched out with the “Bough” Punch. I attached the greeting panel with dimensionals and tucked the “punched” leaf spray underneath. A bow of “Garden Green Ribbon” was added with a “Glue Dot”. To complete this card, I added three of the “Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels”, one of each size. I absolutely love how the “Layering Leaves” and “Bough Punch” coordinate together! A very simple card that came together in a matter of minutes!

So Refreshing Bundle, Take 2!

This is my second play date with the “So Refreshing” Bundle. This is such a cute stamp and die set for summertime! You can see my previous creation HERE. I had a vision in my head as I began this card, but it definitely “evolved” as I began working on this card, LOL!

So Refreshing Bundle!

I really wanted to use the “blanket” die for this card. After some thought, I decided that a piece of the “Glorious Gingham” DSP in Berry Burst would be perfect for the blanket. I used a Berry Burst panel on the lower half of my card which was cut with one of the “Radiating Stitches” Dies. Not found in the catalog, these dies are featured in the Stampin’ Up! “On Line Exclusives” AND are still available for purchase! The folded card base is Bubble Bath, such a pretty soft pink!

I chose to add some “speckles” to my vase to give it some interest. The “speckles” stamp is also from another “On Line Exclusive”, “Irresistible Blooms” Bundle. For the background, I used “Blending Brushes” to apply Balmy Blue and Lemon Lime Twist/Parakeet Party ink to my white panel. I was wanting the color to resemble “grass and sky”. For the flowers I used Bubble Bath and Berry Burst ink along with Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves.

The “vase” die has a “slit” cut so that you can add flower or leaf sprays and they appear to be coming out of the vase. I die cut the 3-leaf stem with a die from the “So Refreshing” Dies. To complete my card, I added “Wink of Stella” to three of the flower centers. The finishing touch was a White “Baker’s Twine” bow and three of the “Brushed Brass Butterflies”. I’m not positive this is what I envisioned when I began creating, but overall it’s a super cute card!

So Refreshing Bundle!

Since it is quite HOT here in Texas, I thought I would share a cool and cute card using the “So Refreshing” Bundle. For this card, I chose Basic White, Balmy Blue and Lemon Lolly for my color scheme. For the most part, I let the DSP be the main background for this card along with a touch of Lemon Lolly.

So Refreshing Bundle!

This particular patterned DSP comes from the “Subtles” 6″ x 6″ DSP pack of papers. The prints feature Stripes, Dots, Dashed Lines and Hearts, all with white in the background. I matted the DSP to a layer of Lemon Lolly card stock. The largest “stitched circle” die from the “Stylish Shapes” was used to cut out a white circle. I then stamped the greeting in Smoky Slate ink. The pitcher was also stamped with Smoky Slate and Lemon Lolly for the “lemonade”. I used Daffodil Delight, stamped off, for the “lemon slices” inside the pitcher. The leaves were done with Lemon Lime Twist card stock and ink. The lemons and leaves were die cut with the coordinating set of “So Refreshing” Dies. The two lemons are elevated with “Mini Dimensionals”.

To complete this card, I made a bow of “3/8″ Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack” in Lemon Lolly and attached with a Glue Dot. One last detail, I added “Wink of Stella” to the two lemons for a subtle touch of shimmer! Honestly, this was truly a “Simple Stamping” card!
