“Irresistible Blooms” meets Fractured Technique! I have been seeing the Fractured Technique on many stamping websites and decided to try this unique technique. At first glance, it seems this would be somewhat complicated, but in reality, it’s super easy! I chose to use a piece of DSP from the “Hello, Irresistible” papers. The greeting is from the “Irresistible Blooms” stamp set. Both the stamp set and DSP can be found in the “Online Exclusives” on the Stampin’ Up! website. I have used this stamp set previously, HERE, HERE and HERE. This set contains beautiful fonts and has great coordinating dies!
I chose Basic White and Flirty Flamingo for my color palette. I stamped the “Thank You” greeting in Flirty Flamingo and die cut it out with a “stitched square” from the “Stylish Shapes” Dies. Then I layered the stitched square on to a Flirty Flamingo square. The DSP was also layered on to a Flirty Flamingo panel. I cut the white strips that frame the “focal point” at 1/4″ wide and the excess was trimmed off.
To complete my card, I attached a Petal Pink bow from the “Ribbon Duo Combo Pack” with a “Mini Glue Dot”. I also used three of the “Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems”, a “retired” embellishment. Turns out, this truly was a super simple card to create! If you’d like more information about the “Fractured Technique“, feel free to contact me!
One of my favorite new stamp sets is “Layering Leaves” and the coordinating “Bough Punch”. This set contains some nice images for the coordinating punch along with some fabulous greetings. The greetings are suitable for many occasions and the font is so pretty!
I needed to whip up a quick card to send to a customer along with her NEW “September-December Mini Catalog”. Since I had recently been working with the “Joy of Christmas” DSP from the upcoming Mini Catalog, scraps were laying on my crafting desk. When I spied the “leaf” patterned DSP, I instantly had the thought of using the “Bough Punch”. I placed the DSP print on the center white panel and then elevated it with dimensionals. The greeting was stamped in Garden Green ink and then punched out with a retired “oval punch”. I layered the greeting oval onto a “Lasting Label” Punch in Garden Green.
The “leaf” image was stamped in Garden Green ink on Garden Green card stock, then punched out with the “Bough”Punch. I attached the greeting panel with dimensionals and tucked the “punched” leaf spray underneath. A bow of “Garden Green Ribbon” was added with a “Glue Dot”. To complete this card, I added three of the “Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels”, one of each size. I absolutely love how the “Layering Leaves” and “Bough Punch” coordinate together! A very simple card that came together in a matter of minutes!
