Seasonal Branches Bundle Again!

I finally found time to create another card with the “Seasonal Branches” Bundle. Since my last card with this bundle, shown HERE, used brighter colors, I wanted this card to have a more “Earthy” feel. My main goal was to use some of the NEW “In Colors”. I chose Copper Clay, Wild Wheat and Basic White to work with.

Seasonal Branches Bundle

I attached a 2″ strip of DSP from the NEW “In Colors” to the folded card base in Copper Clay. All of these prints have “White” in the patterns which makes them easy to use. I die cut the second largest shape from the “Countryside Corners” Dies in Basic White. Then I stamped the “berries” in “Black Memento” Ink. Then I colored them with Wild Wheat and lightly dotted with Copper Clay “Blends”. Two tree branch stems were die cut in Pecan Pie. This NEW “Core” color is one of my new favorite browns! After adhering the branches, I stamped, colored and die cut the bird. To raise the bird slightly off the card, I attached with a double layer of “Glue Dots”.

Next, I die cut a “frame” shape using the “Countryside Corners” Dies. I embossed the frame with the “Cross-Hatch” Embossing Folder, part of the “Basic 3D Embossing Folders” featured in the Online Exclusives. I placed the frame so the “debossed” side was facing up. This entire panel is lifted up with “Dimensionals”. I will confess, the “Brass Butterflies” were added to cover an ink smudge on the card! I tied a bow with the “In Color Jute Trim”, frayed the ends and added to the card with a glue dot. Cute and simple!

Seasonal Branches, Take 2!

Finallly, “Seasonal Branches”, Take 2! Finding time to create another card with the “Seasonal Branches” Bundle has been challenging. We’ve been quite busy this week with yard work. We are wanting to get our yard looking more presentable before it gets too hot here in central Texas! This is my second card with this bundle and I’m really enjoying playing with this stamp set and dies. HERE was my first, very simple card using “Seasonal Branches”.

For this card, I used the new “Bubble Bath” color for my card base and also for the flowers. “Bubble Bath” is such a soft, pretty pink! I stamped the flowers with “Berry Burst” ink on the “Bubble Bath” cardstock. I wanted this card to be cheerful, so I chose “Parakeet Party” and “Garden Green” for my shades of green.

After cutting a piece of “Parakeet Party” card stock with the “Deckled Rectangles” dies, I layered this piece behind the white panel and then trimmed on each end. I stamped “off” with “Garden Green” ink to give some depth to the leaves. Then, I colored the leaves with “Parakeet PartyBlends. I placed some of the flowers on dimensionals and I did add a few of the single stamped and die cut leaves to the card. To complete this card, I colored each of the flower centers with “Wink of Stella Glitter Brush” for a soft shimmer. A piece of “3/8″ Sheer Ribbon” in “Bubble Bath” was knotted at the top of the card near the fold.

DSP SALE Coming June 1st!

Today, Stampin’ Up! announced a DSP SALE coming June 1st! Beginning the first of June, save 15% on “Select” DSP packs! This SALE will last the entire month of June! You can find this DSP in the Annual Catalog, pages 129-132. I want you to be aware, the “In Color” and “Color Families” (6×6 size) on page 133 of the catalog will NOT be included in this sale. Also, this sale does NOT include “Specialty” Papers.

Stampin’ UP! doesn’t offer SALES like this too often, so make sure you snag some of your favorite DSP packs while they are on sale! Also, I highly recommend ordering EARLY as I’m sure the “popular” DSP packs may go out of stock from inventory. Chances are, these items may not be replenished by the end of June in time for you to catch the SALE price.

If you were to purchase 4 packs of DSP on SALE, your savings just about pays for your shipping! Or better yet, purchase a new stamp set or bundle and include a pack or two of your favorite DSP!
