DSP SALE Coming June 1st!

Today, Stampin’ Up! announced a DSP SALE coming June 1st! Beginning the first of June, save 15% on “Select” DSP packs! This SALE will last the entire month of June! You can find this DSP in the Annual Catalog, pages 129-132. I want you to be aware, the “In Color” and “Color Families” (6×6 size) on page 133 of the catalog will NOT be included in this sale. Also, this sale does NOT include “Specialty” Papers.

Stampin’ UP! doesn’t offer SALES like this too often, so make sure you snag some of your favorite DSP packs while they are on sale! Also, I highly recommend ordering EARLY as I’m sure the “popular” DSP packs may go out of stock from inventory. Chances are, these items may not be replenished by the end of June in time for you to catch the SALE price.

If you were to purchase 4 packs of DSP on SALE, your savings just about pays for your shipping! Or better yet, purchase a new stamp set or bundle and include a pack or two of your favorite DSP!

Seasonal Branches Bundle!

This is my first creation with the “Seasonal Branches” Bundle. What I really liked about this “bundle” was the different possibilities with the branches, leaves, flowers and berries. I’m still waiting on another stamp order that contains the NEW “In Color” ink pads. I had ordered all the other ink pads, but for some reason forgot to order the NEW “In Color” pads! The only NEW color I incorporated into this card was “Pecan Pie“. I’m liking this “NEW Core Color” as it really is a pretty shade of brown.

Seasonal Branches Bundle

The folded card base is “Balmy Blue“. Since the “Stitched Rectangle” Dies are now retired, I used the Scalloped Rectangle die from the “Scalloped Contours” Dies and trimmed off the scalloped edges. Then I added a layer of “Parakeet Party” card stock. The brown “Pecan Pie” layer was cut with the “Deckled Ractangles” Dies. After cutting the “Pecan Pie” layer, I crunched it up into a ball several times to give this layer a more “earthy” feel.

Before stamping the tree branch and leaves on my focal panel, I used a blending brush to add some “Balmy Blue” ink to the background. The branch and leaves followed with coloring in the leaves with “Blends”. The bird was stamped, die cut and colored with “Blends” before adhering with dimensionals. The greeting was stamped with “Balmy Blue” ink. To finish this card, I added a double bow made from “Linen Thread”. Overall, I’m liking this “Seasonal Branches Bundle” and working on another card to share in a few days!

Sentimental Park Bundle!

I just recently “unearthed” this card made with the amazing “Sentimental Park” Bundle which was buried on my stamping desk! I only had a few days to play with this bundle before we left for our trip back to Maryland and Virginia. When I returned from my trip, Stampin’ Up! had already announced the “Retiring List” and I began the process of preparing for the NEW Color Refresh and NEW Annual Catalog release. Basically, this means moving items to be retired and deciding if I will keep or sell them. I will admit that I worked at this slowly, meaning a little each day! I decided to post this card since it did carry over in to the NEW Annual Catalog p. 36, but not at the “bundled” price. This stamp set and dies also coordinate with the “Petal Park” stamps and “Petal Park Builder” Punch, AC p. 37 & 149.

This particular card was easy, some basic two-step stamping, die-cutting and assembling. I chose “Basic White”, “Flirty Flamingo” and “Sweet Sorbet” for my color palette. The filled image for the two-step flowers were stamped off in “Sweet Sorbet” and this resembled “Flirty Flamingo” very closely. I love the “geometric” label shapes, especially the one with the die cut flowers attached. Adding a few die cut flowers in “Flirty Flamingo”, “Sweet Sorbet” and “Basic White” added some dimension to the card. I did add a few small “Pearls” to the flower centers, some of which I colored with a “Flirty Flamingo Blends”. To complete this card, I added a bow in “White Crinkled Seam Binding“. I will miss this ribbon as it was my “go to” because it could be colored with any color of “Blends”!
