I finally broke down and purchased the “Extraordinary Flora” Bundle! I’ve had my eye on this product since the release of the Annual Catalog back in May. The coordinating “Extraordinary Floral Washi Tape” has been in and out of stock since the catalog release. However, I was able to order that item on my last order for the 2025-2027 In Color Sale. While waiting for my last order to arrive, I played a bit with this great bundle.
For this card, I also incorporated the “Pressed Flowers” Embossing Folder. You can find this item in the On-Line Exclusives and not in a current catalog. HERE is my previous card where I also used this embossing folder, but in portrait as opposed to landscape. I stamped the “Extraordinary Flora” large stamp in “Black Memento Ink” and then die cut the individual pieces with the coordinating die. Actually, I colored the stamped images first before cutting them apart . They are much easier to color when still on one large piece of cardstock.
I used a narrow strip of Basic Black cardstock above and below the panel to help frame and anchor it to the folded white base. Then I used the “Stylish Shapes” Dies to cut the greeting stamped in “Black Memento Ink”. Next, the greeting was placed on “Dimensionals” and the die cut floral pieces were placed around the greeting. A small “White Baker’s Twine” Bow as added with a “Glue Dot”. The final touch was to add “Wink of Stella” to the flowers which gives them a subtle shimmer. Honestly, a super easy card as the “Pressed Flowers” Embossing Folder does the majority of the heavy lifting.
Join me next week as I have another card to share with this bundle and can’t wait to get my hands on the coordinating “Washi Tape”!

On a side note, my husband and I recently returned from a cruise from Barcelona around the southern portion of Spain! Our daughter gifted us this trip at Christmas and she was also able to accompany us. We saw some fabulous sites and attractions and this was definitely a trip of a lifetime! I believe we are finally recovered from our trip and I’m working hard to create more card ideas before we travel again in September.
It’s time for Christmas in July with the recently released “Jolly Holly” Bundle! You can find this great bundle in the On-Line Exclusives. Part of this bundle includes the “Jolly Holly Embossing Folder” along with some additional coordinating dies. This is a “hybrid embossing folder” which partially die cuts out around the holly leaves. What a super cool feature!
My color palette for this card was Soft Sea Foam, Garden Green, Real Red and White. It was challenging to keep this card fairly simple as it did involve a few different steps.
Here are the details…
First, I embossed/die cut with the hybrid embossing folder. Next, I drew vertical pencil lines on my panel, but NOT on the embossed leaves portion. This served as my guide to trim away the extra card stock and allow the holly leaves to overlap onto my Garden Green folded card base. Once I trimmed away the excess, I lifted the leaves (one or two at a time) and tucked a scrap of paper under them. This allowed me to add the Garden Green color with a “Blending Brush” to only the embossed leaves. Regardless, it was challenging to not get the Garden Green ink on the other areas of my die cut panel.
I used Real Red“Blends” to color the berries. This is a bit tricky because the ink absorbs into the card stock and spreads rather quickly. For this step, I chose to dab on dots of color little by little. However, if you look closely, you can tell the “Blends” do have a tendency to bleed a bit. Next time, I’ll be a bit more light handed with the color, LOL!
Once the red berries had dried a bit, I added “Wink of Stella” so that they would have a subtle shimmer to them. I’m not a great photographer and this detail is always hard to capture in a photo. Lastly, I added a “Red/White Baker’s Twine” Bow to my card with a “Mini Glue Dot”. Honestly, this card is quite pretty IRL!
