When I first glanced at the “Inked and Tiled” stamp set, I looked right past this set. Then I began to see samples from other demonstrators and stampers, definitely changed my mind about this terrific set! I love both the “soft” looking artwork and greetings this set offers. Also, I wasn’t 100% sold that I needed the two punches, but because of the “bundled” savings, I took the plunge!
I chose Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Basic White for my color palette. Let me tell you, these colors are BEAUTIFUL together! My goal was for this card to have an “earthy” feel and less feminine than my MANY cards created with “flowers”!
For this card, I also used a piece of the “Inked Botanicals” DSP which is currently on SALE at a 15% savings! The leaf image was stamped twice, once full strength followed by a second lighter stamping. I mounted the white panel on a die cut from the “Radiating Stitches” Dies. These dies are featured in the “Online Exclusives” and are not found in the current Annual Catalog.
I used the “Deckled Rectangle” Dies to cut a strip of Lost Lagoon card stock along one side. It took me two passes through the “Die Cut & Emboss Machine” to cut the entire 5.5″ length. Afterwards, I distressed the deckled edge with my fingernail. To complete the card, I cut a length of the “Lost Lagoon 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon” apart. I used several thread strands from the ribbon and tied them with a knot in the center. The finishing touch was adding three of the “Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots”. A great “Simple Stamping” card! I promise to use the two coordinating punches in my next creation with this great “bundle”.
