Adoring Hearts Bundle for Valentine’s Day!

Couldn’t wait to create with the “Adoring Hearts Bundle” for Valentine’s Day! The stamp set has some nice greetings and images, but the coordinating Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies are the bomb! When I created my first card with this bundle, I couldn’t resist playing with the different embossed and die-cut pieces.

Adoring Hearts Bundle and Perennial Postage Dies!

This card started with a piece of the FREE “Most Adored” DSP from the SALE a-bration offerings. Basically, I let the DSP determine the color palette of Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and White. The NEW “Perennial Postage” Dies are super easy to work with as they offer multiple sized rectangle shaped dies and also two different sized square dies. The different sized heart dies are from the “Adoring Hearts” coordinating dies.

This card is such a simple layout, but I did manage to add some depth with “Dimensionals” under the large white postage shaped rectangle along with the Red/Flamingo/White embellished heart. Before layering these pieces, I added “Wink of Stella” to the Flirty Flamingo heart which gives it a nice subtle shimmer. The three red hearts below the greeting also have “Wink of Stella” for that added shimmer. The final detail was attaching a “Flirty Flamingo” Twine Bow from the “Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack“. These twine colors are soft and delicate and can be used for many different occasions. Super simple card layout with simple layers using the “Adoring Hearts” Bundle for Valentine’s Day!

Thoughtful Expressions Bundle!

Before our recent trip east, I managed to create two cards with the “Thoughtful Expressions” Bundle. The stamp set has nice word greetings along with a beautiful Hummingbird image, but I absolutely LOVE the coordinating dies in this bundle!

Thoughtful Expressions Bundle

The card base is Mossy Meadow and the other colors are White, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. For this card, I embossed a piece of Vellum with the “Softly Sophisticated” Embossing Folder from the SALE a-bration offerings. This embossing folder AND the “Softly Sophisticated” Stamp Set are one of the FREE SALE a-bration items when you spend $100 during this annual promotion. HERE is another previously created card that also had an “embossed” layer of vellum.

Two different sizes of the “stitched” round shapes from the “Thoughtful Expressions” Dies were used for the layered greeting. I die cut the larger shape from the “Poetic Expressions” DSP. The larger floral image was stamped, colored with “Blends” and die cut along with two of the smaller floral image. The larger floral is lifted on “Dimensionals” and the two smaller images are tucked underneath the larger floral spray.

The flower centers are colored and then have “Wink of Stella” added for a subtle shimmer. To complete this card, a small “White Baker’s Twine” Bow was added. This card is quite stunning IRL.

Perennial Postage!

How beautiful is the “Perennial Lavender “DSP that coordinates with the “Perennial Postage” Bundle? The rich green and purple hues in this DSP are absolutely gorgeous! This is my second creation with the new “Perennial Postage” products and I am in love! HERE, is my first post using these fabulous new products.

Perennial Postage Bundle and DSP!

I will admit some of my inspiration for this card came from Patty Bennett over at Patty Stamps. I “borrowed” the idea of embossing Vellum from one of her recent posts. My card base is Crumb Cake with an embossed layer of Vellum on top which definitely gives the card an interesting look. This particular embossing folder is from the “Basics 3D Embossing Folders” found in the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives. I really like this set of three (3) embossing folders. These folders are not found in any current catalogs, only in the online store. With such a detailed embossing folder, I used an additional piece of white card stock with the Vellum before running through the Cut and Emboss Machine. This “softened” the very detailed embossing of the Vellum so it did not tear or crack.

Firstly, I chose to use Pretty Peacock based on the colors featured in the “Perennial Lavender DSP”. Basically, I chose three pieces of DSP and placed them on a Pretty Peacock layer so that there was “space” between the DSP pattern pieces. Next, I layered the rectangular panel on to the second largest postage die from the “Perennial Postage” Dies. I stamped the greeting in Pretty Peacock and layered onto one of the smaller postage dies from “Perennial Postage” Dies. To add more interest, I added “White Baker’s Twine” behind the greeting panel and mounted to the DSP piece with “Dimensionals”. Lastly, to finish the card, I accented the front with a few of the “Purple Fine Shimmer Gems”. Honestly, this was a very simple card to create!
