Sunflower Embossing Folder!

I had recently placed an order and was able to snag a few products such as the “Sunflower Embossing Folder”! This is one of several products that have been in and out of stock the past few weeks. I have seen many card samples with this great 3D Embossing Folder. I decided I needed to add it to my collection! The “Sunflowers Embossing Folder” can be found in the On-Line Exclusives section of the Stampin’ Up! website. My first card started with a very simple layout and another newer product, “Two-Tone Cardstock”.

Sunflower Embossing Folder!

The beauty of “Two-Toned Cardstock” is that it offers two shades (light and dark) along with a white core. For this card, first I embossed my panel. Next, I used a sanding block to remove a bit of the dark Crushed Curry layer to reveal the White core underneath. I had purchased the “Turtle-y Sweet” 12″ x 12″ Two-Toned Cardstock pack so that I would have a variety of six colors to chose from. You can find this product in the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog, p. 69

My greeting is from a retired stamp set along with the stitched oval die cut shape. I tied a center knot in my Early Espresso Ribbon and threaded the ends through the hold in the oval die cut shape. After trimming the ends, I added the greeting to my card front with “Dimensionals”. I will confess, I mounted the embossed layer to an Early Espresso layer and later decided it looked a bit flat. I distressed the edges of the embossed panel with my fingernail. Sometimes, a card needs just a small detail to make it “pop” a bit which the distressing did.

This was a very simple layout, an easy “technique” and was super quick to create!

Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape!

Recently I was finally able to order the “Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape”. This item has been VERY popular since the release of the Annual Catalog in early May and has been in and out of stock numerous times. Needless to say, I was happy to finally get my hands on this product and start creating! HERE and HERE are my two previous creations with the “Extraordinary Flora” Bundle.

Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape

For this particular card, I chose to incorporate several items to complete my card. I started with the “Everyday Arches” Dies and cut a window in the White cardstock panel. Next, I ran the white panel through the “Cut & Emboss Machine” with the “Pressed Flowers” Embossing Folder. My Happy Birthday greeting came from the “Unbounded Love” stamp set. My greeting was stamped in Strawberry Slush, one of my favorite NEW “In Colors”! I centered the white panel behind the arch die cut window and layered onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. The folded card base is also Strawberry Slush.

I unrolled a stretch of the “Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape” and placed on to a piece of white cardstock. With one pass through the “Cut & Emboss Machine”, the “Extraordinary Flora” Die did all the hard work! What is so wonderful about the Washi Tape is that it is re-positionable. This means if you get a wrinkle in the tape, just lift and re-position the tape, it’s that easy! Next, I chose a few of the die cut floral images to add to my card front. I placed the double flower die cut up on “Dimensionals” and this allowed me to tuck the other images around the center die cut.

To complete my card, I added a double “Linen Thread” Bow with a “Mini Glue Dot”. Lastly, I colored the silver “Rhinestone Basic Jewels” with my “Darling Duckling” Blends and added to the flower centers. This color has a slight green hue and it seemed to match the “Extraordinary Floral Washi Tape” really well. A cute and easy card, just my style!

Extraordinary Flora Bundle Again!

Since my last post, I’ve had time to create with the “Extraordinary Flora” Bundle again. I love that I can stamp the floral images once, color them and then die cut all of them in one fell swoop! It’s awesome to then have approximately 16 floral elements to utilize for my projects. HERE was my previous card creation using this fabulous bundle.

For this particular card, my color palette was Basic Beige and Basic Black. I chose to stamp the entire floral image in “Black Memento Ink” and then use this as my background. The floral die cuts were also stamped in black on another piece of Basic Beige cardstock, colored with “Blends” and then die cut apart. This card only used two of the floral die cuts, so I have additional pieces left to create another card! The floral die cuts were lifted up on “Dimensionals”.

For the circle images, I used the “Stylish Shapes” along with the “Spotlight on Nature” Dies. To complete my card, I added a bow of “Black and Very Vanilla Gingham Ribbon” from my stash. The last detail on my card that is difficult to capture in a photo, is the addition of “Wink of Stella” on the flowers which gives a subtle shimmer. The “Extraordinary Floral” Bundle has quickly become one of my favorites for creating cards!
