Mistletoe Magic!

This is my first Christmas card creation of the “season” with the fabulous “Mistletoe Magic” bundle! The stamp set and dies can be found on p. 15 of the July-December Mini Catalog.

I chose to use soft colors for this card using Pool Party, White and a “pop” of Real Red. Two panels were die cut with the stitched scalloped die from the “Scalloped Contours” dies. Then, I cut off the scalloped edge on the white card stock. When the white panel is mounted to the “Red” scallop mat, it appears to be “stitched” to the red piece. I used Soft Sea Foam and Mint Macaroon “Blends” to color the mistletoe image. Then, I added “Wink of Stella Glitter Brush” to the berries to give them some pretty “shimmer” which is always difficult to capture in a photo!

I embossed a Pool Party panel with the “Timeworn Type 3D” embossing folder. After embossing, I used a “Blending Brush” to to add Pool Party ink to the raised portions of the embossing to make it stand out a bit. This panel was adhered to the card front and then the focal panel was attached with dimensionals. I did try a “Real Red” ribbon, but felt I liked the “softness” the “Pool Party Sheer Ribbon” gave the finished card. So pleased with how this card turned out!
