Happy Easter with Daffodil Daydreams!

Daffodil Daydreams
Daffodil Daydreams

Happy Easter to you and yours with a quick post today using the Daffodil Daydreams stamp set. This “bundle” is featured in the current January – June Mini Catalog p. 37, and has some awesome dies I am anxious to play with along with the additional stamp images. This card uses the “In Color” DSP along with a few retired dies from the Layering Ovals die set to create the “window” and the “scalloped oval mat” around the window. Image was stamped with Black Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. The colors are Pale Papaya, Mango Melody, Soft Succulent and White. The white crinkled Seam Binding makes a terrific bow and the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Mini Catalog p. 9, add the finishing touch of bling to this easy card. I absolutely love these jewels as they blend with EVERY color, a definite staple to have in your creative stash!

Honeybee Home, Take 3!

This is my third card with this fabulous “Honeybee Home” bundle. I was recently invited to have coffee with a group of ladies in my neighborhood and I created this card as a thank you to the hostess for inviting me. It has been a challenge to meet people since we have only been in Texas for about 6 months. Everyone here in Texas is extremely friendly and this group of ladies made me feel welcomed. Hoping we can gather again soon!

This card uses the Heart and Home DSP from the Heart and Home Suite of products featured on page 59 of the January – June Mini Catalog. I did use two “retired” dies for the focal image. The largest Stitched Oval from Stitched Shapes was layered on the largest Scalloped Oval from the Layering Ovals dies. The small “Thank You” stamped in the lower right corner came from the “Celebrating You” stamp set, page 65 of the mini. A Pale Papaya ribbon bow was added along with “Wink of Stella” Glitter Brush for shimmer on the small flowers of the die cut stems. Quite pretty!

Honeybee Home, Take 2!

Honeybee Home Bundle
Honeybee Home Bundle and Designer Series Paper

This is my second creation with the Honeybee Home Bundle and the Heart and Home Designer Series Paper (DSP). These products are found in the January – June Mini Catalog on pages 59 & 61. The card starts with a Pale Papaya folded base and also incorporates a Basic Gray layer for the DSP and a Very Vanilla piece for the circular focal point. A 1.5″ strip of Pale Papaya card stock was run through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. This strip was then attached to the DSP layer. Before attaching the DSP layer to the Basic Gray card stock, wrap Basic Black Twine around this layer twice and finish with a double bow. This layer is attached with dimensionals to the Basic Gray card stock.

The Layering Circles dies were used to cut a hole in the DSP and also to create the Pale Papaya frame. The frame was embossed with the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder. The floral stem was cut out in Pale Papaya and the stems and leaves were colored with the Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blend. This piece was layered on top of two Soft Succulent long leafy stem die cuts. For the finial touch, add Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to the Pale Papaya flowers for a subtle shimmer. A clear “Polished Dot” was added to the largest flower and a “Brushed Brass Butterfly” can be spotted to the left of the flower cluster. This card is very striking!
