My first creation with the Honeybee Home Bundle and Heart & Home DSP. The Hive 3D Embossing Folder adds fabulous texture to this card! All three of these products are in the current January – June Mini Catalog, pages 58-61. In order to wrap the white twine around the card, this is a top fold card. The two floral images were stamped on white, colored with Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends then die cut with the coordinating dies. Two of the leaf images were die cut in Soft Succulent and placed on the white Stitched Scalloped Rectangle shape (up on dimensionals) from the Scalloped Contours dies, AC, p. 158. The white Baker’s Twine and Brushed Brass Butterflies (Jan – June Mini Catalog, p. 15) add the final touches to this very easy but beautiful card!
This card uses the “Happy Birthday” greeting from the Celebrate You stamp set along with strips of DSP from the SAB Rainbows offering that ended February 28th. This technique is very easy to achieve, cut strips of DSP at varying widths of 3/4″, 1/2″ and 1/4″ and adhere them to a base layer. Mine overlapped the edges of the white card stock which were trimmed off once all the pieces were adhered. This panel was then attached to a Misty Moonlight layer. This DSP is very bright and festive, love the colors and it’s just perfect for a birthday card!
Happy Birthday with Celebrate You and Tailor Made Tags
Both of the “Stripes & Splatters” Embossing Folders from the current January – June Mini Catalog were used to add texture to this card, the “Stripes” along the bottom edge and the “Splatters” on the Misty Moonlight Tag. The “birthday” letters were colored with a Mango Melody marker. The white Crinkled Seam Binding is tied off with a piece of Misty Moonlight/Silver Bakers Twine from the “Flowers for Every Season” Ribbon Combo Pack. To finish off the card, a touch of bling was added with “Iridescent Rhinestones” from the current January – June Mini Catalog. This is a super easy and cute card!
