One of my favorite products in the September – December Mini Catalog is the “Winterly Tree Tops” Bundle! Not sure which is my favorite, the stamp set and matching dies, the DSP, or the “Birchwood Embossing Folder”. Plus there are two coordinating embellishments in this “Suite” of products, “Natural Tones Linen Thread” and “Earth Tones Shimmer Gems”.
I just absolutely love how beautiful this card turned out! Basically, this was a “copy and tweak” from an example shown in the September – December Mini Catalog on page 30. I changed base colors and used a different greeting from the stamp set. I decided to shift the layout slightly and added an additional piece of DSP from the “Nests of Winter” patterns.
The bird was actually die cut from one of the DSP patterns. This particular print has two different “bird” groups and there is a coordinating die to cut out both of them! My folded card base was Gray Granite and the other colors used were Pool Party, Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler. One thing to note, I embossed the piece of “wood grain” looking DSP with the “Birchwood 3D Embossing Folder” for some additional texture.
To finish my card, I added three of the “Earth Tone Shimmer Gems” and a simple bow made with the “Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/4″ Satin Ribbon” found on page 25 of the Mini Catalog. Such a super cute card with the “Winterly Tree Tops” Bundle!
