Little by little, I am finding time in my craft room for creating with my NEW items and I started with the “Thoughtful Wishes” Bundle! For this card, I also used the “Thoughtful Designs” Specialty DSP, which is beautiful! I chose Mossy Meadow, Basic White with a touch of Silver for my color palate.
For this card, I managed to incorporate two “dies” from two different sets, the “Everyday Details” Dies along with the “Unbounded Love” Dies. One die created my focal frame, the other die was for the greeting. A layer of Silver Foil card stock was placed behind the white frame and only visible a bit on the left and right side of the frame.
It was a challenge for me to create a card with NO ribbon, LOL! However, I did choose to use three (3) of the “Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems” in Silver as an added accent to complete my card. Honestly, this was such a simple card and quite stunning IRL! I am anxious to create another card with the “Thoughtful Wishes” Bundle.
While we are talking about “Bundles”, from June 5-30, Stampin’ Up! will be offering an ADDITIONAL 10% discount on bundles! When you purchase a current bundle, you already receive a 10% discount. During June 5-30, you can SAVE an EXTRA 10% on your favorite bundle! Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to SAVE even MORE on a “bundle” purchase during this great promotion! As many of you know, Stampin’ Up! introduces NEW “In Colors” each year. I absolutely love this year’s NEW “In Colors”! These colors are somewhat soft, but also vibrant at the same time. This is my first creation with some of the NEW In Colors. I managed to include a NEW bundle called “Unbounded Love” found on p. 54 of the NEW Annual Catalog.
For these two cards, I chose Petunia Pop and Summer Splash along with Basic White. I believe that these two NEW “In Colors” are my favorite! I was able to include a 2″ wide strip of NEW “In Color DSP” on both designs. Basically, one card was designed “vertically” and the other “horizontally”. The “Unbounded Love” dies are awesome to work with. Many of the “shapes” will layer with another die cut, making them super easy to coordinate!
The finishing touches on these two cards are a knotted bow of “3/8″ Bordered Ribbon” and a few of the “In Color” Resin Dots. This was my make-n-take card for my NEW Catalog Open House two weeks ago. Cute, colorful and simple!
On a side note, this past month here in Texas, we have had an unusually substantial amount of rain! Last year this time, central Texas was in a severe drought. We’ve seen violent storms, flooding, hail and tornadoes this past month. I’ve lived several places in my lifetime, but I do think Texas weather may take the prize for the most “crazy and unpredictable” weather!
