Country Birdhouse meets Basic Beige!

For my very first creation with NEW products from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog, I chose “Country Birdhouse” meets Basic Beige! I decided to keep this card super simple and not over complicate the design. Sadly, some of my favorites “dies” are retired, but I used them anyway. Two of my favorite “die” sets are the “Stitched Rectangles” and the “Deckled Rectangles”. Very glad to have them in my “stash”!

Basic Beige meets Country Birdhouse!

My color palette for this card is Basic White, Basic Beige, Basic Black with a touch of Real Red. I stamped the birdhouse in “Memento Black” on the NEW “Basic Beige” card stock. After die cutting the birdhouse image out, I also cut out the “circle” on the birdhouse with the coordinating circle die from the die set. I colored a few areas with my “Black Marker” to accent the roof line and the bird perch.

I stamped the “splatter” image in Basic Beige on the Basic Beige card stock to add a bit of interest in the background. The “chain” image was stamped along the top edge in black. I stamped, die cut and colored the bird image. I placed a piece of black card stock behind the circle opening so that it would show through the “hole” in the birdhouse. Then I placed the cute bird so that it is peeking out of the birdhouse. I mounted the die cut birdhouse with two layers of “Glue Dots” to raise it up just a bit.

To complete my card, I added a die cut “floral” image from the stamp set and colored with “Blends”. Then I added the floral die to the card with dimensionals. Lastly, I added a “Rhinestone” to the flower center. The last detail was adding a double bow of “Linen Thread” with a “Glue Dot”.

Circle Sayings Bundle Again!

I am very sad to see the “Circle Sayings Bundle” retiring. This stamp set and coordinating punch are a super versatile “bundle” with great greetings and images. HERE is my previous card created with this bundle. I recently created the card below for a local stamp gathering here in town.

Circle Sayings Bundle!

Actually this card was fairly simple to create. I chose Lost Lagoon and Basic White for my color palette with a splash of color from the “Bright & Beautiful” DSP. First, I punched a 2 3/8″ circle in the Lost Lagoon panel. Next, I ran the lower portion of the Lost Lagoon panel through the Cut & Emboss machine. The “large dots” Embossing Folder is one of three embosing folders found in the OnLine Exclusives.

I stamped the “Celebrate” circle of words in “Black Memento Ink” on a smaller Basic White square. Next, I positioned and attached the stamped words behind the “open” punched out circle. Then I mounted this panel on a Basic White layer showing a white border on the left and right sides. I stamped the “cupcake” in “Black Memento Ink” and fussy cut. Adding “Wink of Stella” to the frosting gave it a subtle “shimmer”. Then I attached the cupcake with dimensionals to the center of the punched circle.

I added a 1/2″ Banner of DSP to cover the transition area where the embossed dots ended. To complete this card, I added three (3) of the “Iridescent Rhinestones” and a “White Baker’s Twine” Bow. Super easy and cute!

Circle Sayings Bundle!

Really enjoyed using the “Circle Sayings Bundle”. This stamp set has not only versatile images, but some great greetings as well. Sadly, this bundle will be “retiring” at the end of this month. This particular card was not only quick but easy to create.

Circle Sayings Bundle

My color palette started with Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight and Basic White. A die from the “Stitched With Whimsy” set was used to make the stitched border on the white card stock layer. This great set of dies will also be retiring the end of April. The sun and wave image were stamped with “Memento Black” ink and then punched out with a 2″ Circle Punch. A Daffodil Delight stitched circle was cut with one of the “Stylish Shapes” Dies. These two layers were mounted with “Dimensionals” on a “Decorative Circle” punched layer in Azure Afternoon.

Two small details helped to complete this card. I placed an “Azure Afternoon Sheer Ribbon” below the “Decorative Circle” punched shape and then added a touch of “Wink of Stella” to the sun’s rays and the break on the wave. It is very difficult to capture the shimmer on this card, but it is quite pretty in real life!

Just a Note: My apologies, after composing this post, I was working on a link to the Stampin’ Up! site for this particular product. The inventory for this product bundle has already been depleted! If there are products you are interested in that will be retiring soon, please don’t wait as inventory vanishes quickly!
