For this card, I chose the “Merriest Trees” Bundle. Absolutely love the different sized “tree” dies along with the stitched tag and “garland” for the tree! This particular card was made by my ladies back east at a Holiday Stamp Camp along with my other group that is spread out between Maryland, Florida and Wisconsin! This card features the “fractured” card technique which appears difficult, but is actually quite easy! HERE is a previous card I made with this technique.
For this card, I used the “Joy of Christmas” DSP for my background. I also cut out the “tree” in my focal point from this piece of DSP. After assembling the card, you would never know there’s a “tree shaped” hole in the DSP! I used the stitched square from the “Stylish Shapes” Dies to add a bit of texture to the card. I cut the garland and star image from a piece of “White Glimmer Paper” from my stash. This touch adds just a bit of sparkle!
On my first card attempt, I had the size of the focal square too large. This detracted from the “fractured” look of the card. Using a smaller focal point allows the “tree” to spread out and also adds interest. My white card stock strips are 1/4″ wide and attached with “Liquid Glue”. I trimmed down the 1/4″ strips to the edge of the DSP and card stock layer. Then, I placed the entire front layer of the card up on “Dimensionals”. A super cute and easy card featuring the “fractured” card technique!
Stampin’ Up! has announced they will be offering a “Seasonal Sale” from November 14-16th, 2023. This is a great time to boost your crafting supplies by saving on Ribbons & Trims, Inks and Papers! The discounts are for products from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog ONLY and does NOT include items featured in the September-December Mini Catalog.
This is a great time to add new colors to your collection! Expand your supplies with some new card stock colors, ink pads, markers, blends, ribbons or trims and also that collection of DSP you’ve been eyeing! Here’s a breakdown of the available discounts during this sale from November 14-16th.
10% OFF Ribbons and Trims
15% OFF Inks (Pads, Reinkers, Markers and Blends)
25% OFF Papers (Card stock, Specialty Papers, DSP)
Please note, when selecting “Inks” the discount does NOT apply to “Bundles”. Again, this sale is for items found in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog, NOT the current Mini Catalog. Stampin’ Up! doesn’t offer discounts like this very often, so make sure you take advantage of this great “Seasonal Sale” event! I myself plan to stock up on not only card stock, but also add a few Ribbons/Trims to my collection along with a few NEW Blends!
For anyone wishing to order by November 15th, I do have an open Host Code for a customer back east who has supported my business for over 24 years! Orders placed using this Host Code will add to this individuals workshop: HEGHCQTV
Also, on November 7th, Stampin’ Up! added NEW items to their “On Line Exclusives”. Not only are there NEW Stamp/Die Bundles, but a few individual stamp sets, Ribbon and DSP! My favorite NEW addition is the “Fluffiest Friends” Bundle. Boy all those animals are so stinkin’ CUTE! These products are not featured in a catalog but can be found in the on line store under “On Line Exclusives”, so make sure to check out these NEW offerings!
If you have any questions at all about the NEW products or ordering, please feel free to reach out to me. I am available and happy to assist you.
The “Joy of Noel Bundle” has some terrific images with coordinating dies to create beautiful holiday cards. I also used a greeting from the “Christmas Classics” stamp set. For this card, I chose Real Red, Crumb Cake and Shaded Spruce for my color palette. Besides the card shown below, HERE’s a previous card I posted using this awesome bundle.
This card was super easy to create, just a touch of texture with the “Timber 3D Embossing Folder”. Some shading with a “Blender Brush” and Crumb Cake ink makes the embossing “pop” off the card stock. A stitched square from the “Stylish Shapes Dies” mounted on a Real Red layer helps to define the focal point. I stamped the “leaf spray” image with “Memento Black Ink” and then colored it with Real Red and Shaded Spruce“Blends”. The image was die cut and placed on “Dimensionals”. I added a double bow of “Linen Thread” to the image with a “Glue Dot”. Adding “Wink of Stella” to each of the red berries gives them a subtle shimmer which is always difficult to capture in a photo. I stamped the greeting in Real Red to complete this simple card with the Joy of Noel Bundle!
Lastly, on November 7th, the “On-Line Exclusives” will be updated with several NEW products! My absolute favorite is the “Fluffiest Friends Bundle”. This set contains several absolutely adorable animals with coordinating dies! Make sure you visit the Stampin’ Up! Website on November 7th to view the new additions to the On-Line Exclusives!
