This is my second creation with the “Petal Park” Bundle from the January – April Mini Catalog. Loving this great 2-step stamp set with a coordinating punch! I also included some of the “2022-2024 In Color DSP” and one of the NEW “Elegant Border ” Dies along the lower edge of the card. The “Elegant Border” Dies are being offered in the Online Exclusives that were recently released by Stampin’ Up!. HERE is my first card using this NEW “stamp/punch” bundle.
Petal Park Bundle with NEW Elegant Border Dies
For this card I chose Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party and Basic White for my color palette. I left a small border of Sweet Sorbet across the top and bottom of the folded Basic White layer. I die cut the lower front edge of the folded white layer with one of the NEW “Elegant Border” Dies allowing the DSP to be seen before opening the card. This set of dies will cut four different beautiful and intricate border edges. Honestly, these dies are quite stunning!
I kept this card fairly simple with an extra “punched” large flower placed on dimensionals. Then, I added a “Iridescent Rhinestone” in the center of all three flowers. The last touch was adding the “1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon” in Parakeet Party. After knotting the ribbon, I frayed the ends for a different look. I used the greeting from the “Framed Florets” stamp set. This is a super easy card to create with nice vibrant colors!
On March 29th, Stampin’ Up! released the “Last Chance Products” List along with information on the upcoming “Color Refresh” for the NEW Annual Catalog. So, lots of exciting information to digest!
Starting April 4th, many items on the “Last Chance Products” List for both the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and the January – April Mini Catalog will be DISCOUNTED up to 60%! The discounts will range from 10-60%, so make sure you look over these two lists very thoroughly! The SALE begins April 4th and the higher discounted items usually disappear very quickly!
Please keep in mind that for “Bundled” items carried over in to the NEW Annual Catalog, the “Bundled” price savings will go away with the introduction of the NEW catalog. Basically, the “bundled” price is only offered for the first catalog in which those products are introduced. After that, the “bundled” price goes away.
One additional item to be aware of, there will some price increases in the NEW catalog. Most are small price increases, but I noticed the Paper Pumpkin subscription is going up the most. Now would be a great time to subscribe or renew your subscription!
In my next post I will address the “Color Refresh” which Stampin’ Up! has released to demonstrators. We all have our favorite colors, but every so often, a change is good! Here’s a brief summary of the colors that will be retiring. I do recommend that if you cannot live without a particular color, you may want to make sure you have a “Reinker” to extend the life of your ink pad AND a pack of cardstock! Several of the NEW Colors are returning colors from previously introduced “In Colors”!
RETIRING COLORS: Evening Evergreen, Pale Papaya, Polished Pink and Soft Succulent. Fresh Freesia will remain and be part of our “core” colors!
Also RETIRING:Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride, Mango Melody, Merry Merlot, Mint Macaron, Pacific Point, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzelberry, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and So Saffron.
I finally decided to play with the “Petal Park Bundle” from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. This was a fun bundle to create with and I’m hoping that it rolls in to the next Annual Catalog. Stampin’ Up! will be releasing the “Retiring” list in two days on March 29th.
Petal Park Bundle!
I managed to incorporate the “Country Gingham DSP”, also from the January – April 2023 Mini Catalog. I chose a DSP pattern in Mint Macaroon and then Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight for the flowers. You can find the embossing folder in the “Online Exclusives” as part of the “Basics 3D Embossing Folders“. I really like this particular embossing folder as both sides have an interesting detailed look about them. Sadly, the “Basics 3D Embossing Folders” are currently unavailable. BUT they will return to inventory the week of May 1, 2023.
Using the “Scalloped Contours” Dies, I stamped the leaves in Mint Macroon. After stamping, I placed the “scalloped panel” on dimensionals. The “Petal Park” set is a “2-Step” stamp set. A little hint when using this set, stamp one portion of the leaves, then align the second the second photopolymer image over the stamped image. Then pick up the photopolymer stamp with a clear block. This helps the two separate images to “line up” with each other.
I stamped the flowers and then punched them out with the coordinating “Petal Park” Punch. I completed this card with a few “Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels” for the flower centers. Then I tucked a “White Baker’s Twine Bow” under the larger flower which is lifted on dimensionals. Unable to capture this in my photo, but the small “Daffodil Delight” flowers have “Wink of Stella Glitter Brush” on the flower centers for a subtle shimmer.
