Perched In A Tree Bundle!

Perched In A Tree Bundle

This week I began working with the “Perched In A Tree” bundle as I always enjoy working with nature sets. The “Aspen Tree” dies in this bundle are available as a FREE “SALE a-bration” item through the end of August. Basically, I kept this card pretty simple thanks to the “Rings of Love” DSP, another FREE “SAB” product. This piece of DSP was laying on my craft desk and I thought it would look great behind the die cut trees. This particular pattern is on the reverse side of the small bird print from the “Rings of Love” paper.

For some added interest to the trees, I used the splatter stamp to place dots on the tree trunks. First, I made an oval mask so I could stamp the “splatter dots” only on the trees. Sahara Sand was used and stamped off before adding the dots. This particular die also places “indented” images on the tree trunks. I colored these areas with a light “Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends”.

The greeting was stamped with Starry Sky ink on Soft Seafoam card stock. I then die cut the tag with one of the “Tailor Made Tags” dies. Then I added a piece of Starry Sky “Metallic Woven Ribbon” to the tag and frayed the ends. This ribbon has a nice shimmer and adds some interesting texture. To complete this card, I used a small clear “Elegant Faceted Gem” colored with the dark “Starry Sky Stampin’ Blends”. I think the DSP is truly the star of this card!

Remember, just over two weeks remain to take advantage of the “SALE a-bration” promotion!

Fond of Autumn Bundle, Take 2!

Stampin' Up! Fond of Autumn Bundle
Fond of Autumn Bundle

This is my second creation with this FABULOUS bundle, “Fond of Autumn” bundle. In my first creation, I used different colors. For this card, I used Cajun Craze and Old Olive as the main colors. I stamped the large image in Memento Black Ink and die cut the large floral and leaf image apart. This allowed me to just utilize the “Acorn” image for this card. I absolutely love how the one large die will cut the main floral and leaf image in to four (4) separate pieces. Since I do not like to fussy cut images, this feature alone totally justified me purchasing this bundle!

A Basic White panel of card stock was embossed with the “Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder (page 53 of the July – December Mini Catalog). I then colored the image with “Stampin’ Blends”. Then, I loosely looped a piece of Linen Thread to the back side of the acorn and leaf image. The greeting “Autumn Wishes” was stamped and die cut with one of the smaller “Stitched Rectangles Dies”. I then cut a scrap of Old Olive card stock for an extra layer before attaching to a “Deckled Rectangles” layer. To complete the card, I used three of the “Rustic Metallic Dots”. A very quick and cute card!

Just a friendly reminder that SALE a-bration promotion continues through the end of August. Don’t miss your opportunity to earn free products as you shop this great offering! The “Rings of Love” DSP, a free SAB offering, coordinates beautifully with the “Ringed With Nature” bundle from the July – December Mini catalog. This DSP would also coordinate with the “Fond of Autumn” bundle as well.

Fond of Autumn Bundle!

I just received a new order with some Fall and Christmas items from the current July-December Mini catalog and couldn’t wait to ink up the “Fond of Autumn” bundle! I am loving that this stamp set has several line images to color and several “greeting” choices. Wow, the “dies” for this bundle are absolutely SPECTACULAR! One “die” cuts the entire cluster of leaves and flowers and a second “die” cuts the large cluster into (4) four separate images. How FABULOUS is that! There is an additional “die” that cuts out an intricate “peekaboo” cluster of leaves and flowers. You can see a featured sample in Soft Succulent of this “die” on page 52 of the Mini Catalog.

I started with a stitched “die cut” square of DSP from the “Stylish Shapes” dies that had been laying on my desk from a previous project. This particular DSP pattern came from the “Tea Boutique” DSP. For this card, I used Crushed Curry and Basic White cardstock. I stamped the large cluster of flowers and two of the small individual flowers in “Memento Black” ink. I colored the images with “Stampin’ Blends” and then die cut them apart.

The “Thank you” was stamped in black on a smaller stitched square from the “Stylish Shapes” dies. I placed the larger floral image on dimensionals and tucked the two smaller flowers underneath. Embossing the larger white panel with the NEW “Leaf Fall” Embossing Folder gave some “texture” to this card. I added a double bow of “Linen Thread” with a folded glue dot to the flower cluster. To finish the card, I added “Wink of Stella Glitter Brush” to the flower centers for some soft shimmer.
