This is my third creation with the “Perched In A Tree” Bundle. I thought it would be fun to only use the “leaf” die cuts and make this a “fall themed” card. Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie are the colors I chose for this card. I embossed the Very Vanilla card stock with the “Leaf Fall 3D” embossing folder which adds some nice texture to this card. Not sure which of the three cards recently created with this set are my favorite, maybe this previous card because of the bird image!
I die cut the largest leaf from a piece of the “Distressed Gold” Specialty Paper. Loving the look of this specialty paper as it appears aged and resembles the look of mercury glass. I used both the “splotch” and “splatter” stamps in the “Perched In A Tree” stamp set to give depth to the two smaller sized leaves. On the Pumpkin Pie card stock, I used Cajun Craze ink and Old Olive on the Old Olive card stock. I stamped off with the “splotch” image before stamping on the cardstock. Then, I stamped the “splatter” on top in full strength ink color. After stamping, I die cut the leaves out with the smaller leaf die from the “Aspen Tree Dies”.
The greeting was stamped off with Cajun Craze and then die cut with a banner from the “Stylish Shapes” dies. A folded piece of “Gold & Vanilla Satin-Edged Ribbon” from the current July – December Mini was used behind the banner. I did place the banner on dimensionals. To complete this card, I added three (3) of the gold “Brushed Metallic Dots” adding just the right amount of “shine” to this card.
Love it! Such a pretty card!
Very simple too, thanks Haley! I was trying to use different stamps and dies with all three of my samples with this bundle. Hope all is well with you and yours!
