The “So Very Merry” stamp set is not featured in the September – December Mini Catalog, but you can find this great stamp set in the “On-Line” Exclusives. This particular card is a super easy “fun fold” card. I actually made two cards, one with the “Santa” image and the other with the “Angel” image.
Both of these images were colored with “Stampin’ Blends” and die cut with the “Circle” shapes from the “Stylish Shapes” Dies. For the “Santa” card, I used a piece of DSP from “Joy of Christmas” pack. To add texture, the “Angel” card uses a card stock panel embossed with the “Merry Melody 3D” Embossing Folder. The center circle with the image open with a “Z-fold” pull out to the right.
“Irridescent Rhinestones” were used on both cards. The sentiments were die cut with the “Banner” dies from the “Stylish Shapes” Dies. “Wink of Stella” was added to the Santa’s beard and hat along with the Angel’s wings for a subtle shimmer. Overall, both cards were fairly simple to create!
Christmas is coming fast! Hopefully everyone is getting those last minute tasks done like gift shopping and wrapping! Every year I tell myself I need to start my Christmas cards in September so that I’m not overwhelmed after Thanksgiving. But again this year as usual, I’ve waited to start my holiday cards. I must admit I do some of my best work when I’m under pressure!
